When Brooke and I were talking about the location for their family portrait session, she mentioned her backyard. The way she described it, it sounded beautiful. Then she sent me a few videos to show me exactly what it was like and I loved it! BUT...until I saw it in person, I didn't realize how PERFECT it is for pictures! The soft neutral colors are my absolute favorite because when the background is soft and neutral and quiet...the focus is on the people! And those steps...please...I could've done every single photo of them right there on those steps!
A new goal I have for family sessions is to be sure to get a few pictures of Mom and Dad by themselves. As adults, we sometimes think having our own picture taken is silly or vain unless we need a professional headshot for our job. I don't believe it's silly or vain! Why stop documenting and capturing our growth after we graduate from high school? Especially today with all the social media, having a beautiful picture of yourself can give you confidence. When Chad and Brooke are in their 90's, they can look at these pictures and remember how young and vibrant and full of life they were. When Kam is talking about Grandpa and Grandma to his kids, he can show them how beautiful and loving they are!
I had the best time with the Ealing family! We laughed a lot and had a lot of fun and I didn't want it to end! I think the pictures show how much fun we had, more than I could ever describe it!
